Silver hairpin Jean-Jacques Duc 1780
Silver 925, average weight 3.57g.
A miniature copy of the hairpin created by court jeweler Jean-Jacques Duque in the 1780s for Empress Catherine II, was used by her to decorate her hair and to attach a hat to her head. A masterly masterly created a graphically clear openwork pattern of diagonally placed diamonds tightly fixed to each other. Such reasonableness of the work allowed the master to enhance the game of precious stones in the decoration.
